"Apples have been associated with a number of benefits that could help promote long-term health, but one of my favorite things that apples, and more importantly the peel can do is feed the all-important bacteria called Akkermansia Municiphila."

Sandi Busch

"You'll get both types of fiber -- soluble and insoluble -- from eating the apple peel, but about 77 percent of the total amount is insoluble. Insoluble fiber prevents constipation by binding with water and pushing digestive waste through the large intestine. Soluble fiber becomes gelatinous when it mixes with water in your digestive tract."

"Processed apple peels retain their phenolic and flavonoid compounds activity and therefore may be used as a value-added ingredient with potent antioxidant activity."

FAQs

Find the answers to commonly asked questions about Layer Origin Nutrition Organic Apple Peel Powder

The apples are grown and processed in North America.

Two scoops of our apple peel powder contains 4.2 g of apple peel powder. It replace peels from roughly 2 medium size apples or 3 small size apples.

The simplest way to mix the apple peel powder using only a spoon is to make a slurry. It's an essential and simple technique used for mixing ingredients when baking/cooking to prevent clumping.

Start with just a tiny amount of water (or whatever) in a glass. Add the apple peel powder. Stir it into a thick paste. Gradually stir in small amounts of liquid until it's no longer a paste. Add desired amount of liquid, the rest of your stack, etc., stir. Enjoy not having the apple peel powder all floating at the top in a bunch of clumps.

So much better than eating apple peels themselves and figuring out what to do with all of the naked apples!
