Wikibooks.org

"Our bodies contain similar nutrients to the food we eat. Therefore, depending on what kind of food we are consuming and the contents of that food, we are affecting our nutrient levels and over all, our health. "

"Everything you eat becomes a part of not only your inner being, but the outer fabric of your body as well"

"What you eat will ultimately make up portions of your cells, skin, hair, blood transportation systems, muscles, fat, and more. Pictured-based food and portion size is so far the most accurate and easiest non-invasive method to assess your diet. The questionnaire and algorithms were used by leading medical institutions and projects like The American Gut Project, which is the World’s Largest Citizen Microbiome Project.

pretty good overall view

the only drawback is that it requires you to remember and properly guess how many times you ate something. since i do track exactly what i eat from time to time, it wasn't perfect, but for what it is, it is pretty remarkable and close enough to get a rough idea of what you eat.

I'm certain that the makers of this test had good intentions. And of course, they had to try to create a test that would be "one-size-fits all". But that, of course, is not possible, since humans have much bio-individuality and also... because there are "many ways to skin a cat" when it comes to creating a "healthy" diet. I'm eating a diet that is jam-packed with nutrition, is super nutrient-dense, is replete with healthy fats and fat-soluble vitamins, has NO junk foods or heavily-processed foods or inflammatory, rancid seed oils. Also, I'm using a few hundred dollars, (per month), of freeze-dried, pasture-raised beef and sheep organ and gland supplements, which are likely among the most absorbable and worthwhile supplements available today. Among other things, I'm using a blend of 14 freeze-dried purple and red berries and fruits, which are loaded with all manner of micronutrients. Finally, I eat no sugar or desserts of any kind. But the "quiz" asked the questions that are programmed to be asked, then told me that my diet is poor. This quiz might be helpful for people who are eating the S.A.D. and who wish to improve their situation, but for those who are a bit more sophisticated in their approach to health, I would not become discouraged by these test results, nor would I lose any sleep over them.

Layer Origins HMO is a must have for FUT2 nonsecretors

For those of us who are non-secretors Layer Origins HMO’s are a must. It is providing me with oligosaccharides that my body cannot produce. I have used this product for over 6 months with great satisfaction. I blend it in with my morning coffee. One benefit that I did not realize I would have is that I my body has been starting to use B12 more adequately. My B-12 levels were always high. A recent test showed low B-12 which signaled to me that it is not longer just floating around in my blood but my body is actually using it now.
