Feed Good Gut Bacteria

"Apples have been associated with a number of benefits that could help promote long-term health, but one of my favorite things that apples, and more importantly the peel can do is feed the all-important bacteria called Akkermansia Municiphila."

Contain Both Soluble and Insoluble Fiber

Apple peel contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber prevents constipation by binding with water and pushing digestive waste through the large intestine. Soluble fiber becomes gelatinous when it mixes with water in your digestive tract.

Strong Antioxidant Activity & Inhibit Cancer Cell Proliferation

"Processed apple peels retain their phenolic and flavonoid compounds activity and therefore may be used as a value-added ingredient with potent antioxidant activity. The apple peel powder had strong antioxidant activity and also greatly inhibited cancer cell proliferation."

FAQs

Find the answers to commonly asked questions about Layer Origin Nutrition Organic Apple Peel Powder

The apples are from Quebec and Ontario Canada, and New York State.

Two scoops of our apple peel powder contains 4.2 g of apple peel powder. It replace peels from roughly 2 medium size apples or 3 small size apples.

The simplest way to mix the apple peel powder using only a spoon is to make a slurry. It's an essential and simple technique used for mixing ingredients when baking/cooking to prevent clumping.

Start with just a tiny amount of water (or whatever) in a glass. Add the apple peel powder. Stir it into a thick paste. Gradually stir in small amounts of liquid until it's no longer a paste. Add desired amount of liquid, the rest of your stack, etc., stir. Enjoy not having the apple peel powder all floating at the top in a bunch of clumps.

So far so good

It’s only been a week, but I really enjoy the combination of the reds, whites, and greens! I mix them all together with a little bit of yogurt before my meal and it helps dissolve the pectin as well as tastes good. Interested to try it on kefir as some others have recommended. Slowly increasing my intake and up to 6g/day.

Love this product!!!

I love this company for making a product like this. I am trying to alter my gut microbiome to work with my biology to help remedy my Crohn's Disease. Specifically, I am trying to up my quercetin intake in order to bring my TNFa into balance so that my inflammation stays low, while also encouraging the growth of Akkermansia to help repair my leaky gut! This product saves me having to buy, peel, and eat many apples peels to achieve the same result. I have only been taking this for about a week now, but I am excited to see how this helps me to reshape and optimize my gut microbiome :)

You get results!

Speaking honestly, I was not sure about adding this powder to the two I was already taking. I thought about the cost and wondered if I would see any new changes. I was really hoping to be able to consume some dairy products again, mainly cottage cheese. After adding this two the prebiotic and polyphenol powders - I am very happy to say I can indeed eat cottage cheese again. This product seems like the missing piece to the gut puzzle. Very pleased with the quality of product and professionalism of the company. I have not been sick since consuming these powders. And I have been around numerous viruses.
